Infrared Thermometer-Klein
The temp gun above has a lazer pointer that works well for identifying hot areas on an engine or machine of some type. When looking for an engine misfire each exhaust tube from a cylinder can be isolated and the difference in exhaust temperature can be compared with each other. A colder cylinder temperature identifyes a cylinder not performing as the others. The temperature gun also works well for identifying other mechanical failure issues, and I use the temp gun for identifying hydraulic or electrical/electronic system failures. The hottest areas are problem areas within the system.
