DVOM- Digital Volt Ohm Meter-Klein Electrical failures are problems to most all equipment these days, and after an electrical failure you will be money ahead if you purchace an inexpensive DVOM. A common electrical failure is the lack of voltage or to much voltage which is electrical pressure. Learning how to use a DVOM is necessary to isolate a problem with any modern electrical/electronic system that controls machine functions. Learn the voltage setting on the meter first and is normally indicated by V and or a dashed line with a solid line on the bottom side of the dashed line and measured direct current (DC). To begin learning how to use the volts DC setting on the meter, put it on the 200 volt DC setting and check a battery. Use a flashlight battery, a lead acid vehicle battery, or any battery you can locate, and all batteries are DC. I use my Klein DVOM almost every day, and for the price they are worth it.
