Designing a product that you want to collect rewards from for 20 years into your future, is a journey of self-discovery and understanding that there are many steps, if missed will prevent inventors that have been awarded a valid United States Patent the ability to protect their claims, and prevent the possibility of the inventor to legally collect their rewards or royalties. You need to know about these steps before inventing a product. Any one of the steps you miss or don’t completely understand, will cost  you time and money, leading to frustration and disappointment. I know these steps, if missed, will become a lesson of hard knocks to the inventor. “Claims are the value of a U.S. patent”, and determine the monetary value of the invention to the inventor, and the manufacturers.
